Message from Pres John.
Tonight is our first meeting for 2026. I encourage all Members to attend for fellowship and planning. We will have a significant number of apologies due to illness and some still on holidays so please make an effort to attend. We will have a guest speaker from District. Myra Castellano-Hegarty will promote the RAWCS 9675 District Meeting in Blacktown City.
District are running a goverance workshop open to all current and future Board members.
From our last Meeting
Anna-Marie organised our Christmas party which was well attended and a good time was had by all. As usual the Kris Kringle, as well as the singing were the highlights of the evening.

We had a wonderful night of friendship, good food and fellowship. Not to forget the choir of John, James and Hugo. A thoroughly entertaining evening and a lot of fun. Thank you Anna- Marie and John, a great way to start the Christmas festivities.
First Sausage Sizzle of the year for Burwood Council
Friday 23rd January saw our first sausage sizzle at Burwood Park for the Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony. We set up at 8.00am for a 10.30 start. A Rotarian from the Phillipines made contact with us while on holidays in our area in January. We had no meetings or social events organised and he was happy to help us for this event in the Park . Perseus Luna is President-Elect / Vice President from the Rotary Club of Antipolo City, Phillipines. He was very enthusiastic and helpful and helped from set up to the end. Thank you Perseus. Frank Fisicaro who has been a regular helper, was also there again.
We served 250 sausages with salad and a drink .

Eurella Fundraiser
Eurella is running a fundraiser with " Comedy for a Cause " on Friday May 20th. Venue to be advised.
Club Governance
The District Governance Committee is organising an interactive information day on Saturday 14th February, 2026 at Bankstown Sport Club from 9.30am to 1.30 pm (including morning tea). Open to all Rotarians and would be very beneficial for current Presidents, President Elects and all Board members both current and in the future.
