Rotary CLUB OF BURWOOD Affirmation:

May Rotary friends and Rotary ways help us to serve our community
here and abroad in many ways.

Message from Pres Elect John Kane.

First of all, thank you to President Dennise for her year as
President of our club.  Dennise is currently attending the
Rotary International Conference in Calgery.

Next Monday 23rd June, will be an important meeting including an Extraordinary Club Assembly to discuss the future of the 50th Anniversary Trust. There have been many emails circulated from members and I encourage you to read them carefully before the Assembly.   Please make every effort to attend on Monday night.

If it is so desired by the Club Members, a request to the Club’s Board of Directors will be made to  rescind the resolution made to transfer the Trust’s funds to the Rotary Foundation Australia.

Should the Members decide to continue with the 50th Anniversary Trust, a Special Board Meeting will be held following the Extraordinary Club Assembly to appoint the Trustees for the 2025-2026 year and also to hold an Annual General Meeting for the Trust.

Official changeover will take place at the Croydon Park Club on Monday
21st July.

June is Fellowship Month

What a great time to reflect on your hobbies,   interests, or profession and connect with a     fellowship.  Rotary Fellowships are international,   independently organised groups of people who   have a common interest or profession.  They host   activities and networking events, and they offer   professional development opportunities virtually   and around the world.  With more than 100   officially recognised fellowships, you have so many   ways to connect and build community with new   friends throughout the Rotary world.  Enhance   your Rotary experience with interests from   camping, 4x4, quilting, wine and travel, there is   something for everyone!

BBQ
We hosted a BBQ for Burwood Council at the Enfield Aquatic Centre, 8 Portland Street Enfield, on Saturday 7th June, 11am to 1pm.

Rotary Pacific Zone Conference
Coolangatta is the venue for the 2025 Rotary Pacific Zone Conference, taking place from 30 October to 2 November 2025.  We are encouraging all Rotarians and Rotaractors to come together.  All are welcome.  You will be inspired and motivated as we connect and share ideas to grow Rotary and activate the strategic priorities of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.  Our 2025 event will be held at the Twin Towns Conference Centre.  There are plenty of things you can do in this famous part of Australia and its hinterland before or after the conference.

Meeting Apologies
