From our meeting on June 5th.
Pres John opened at 620 with the Rotary Affirmation. Tonight combined Board John thanked those still attending

Pres Elect Hugo asked the Board members present to report.
Dennise Herrick reported on her attendance at the International Conference
She recommended we should all consider going next year to the conference in Singapore
Breakout sessions were excellent. She was on the Sustainable Cambodia Stand.
Breakout sessions were motivational and had Rotary information. International President Jennifer Jones was fantastic. Incoming Pres Gordon from Scotland was very good Information about Polio Plus which is very close to being eradicated . Speaker from Pakistan. Reported how dangerous it is for our people to go into Afghanistan and Pakistan. Will end polio in our life time. Projects emphasised and Dennise has many in mind for our local community
Question regarding Cambodia. Their model may possibly be adapted to be used in other countries.
Keith Weeding POW. He has several nominations. Circulated attendance Round robin. This room should fit fifty.
Rob Whitney. Applicants NYSF. Two to interview about middle of June At Peter Moore’s rooms.

Incoming Pres Hugo would like to build a team and rely on board. Will run the regular events we have held in the past.

Patricia Abraham New Generations. She noted the cost of living crisis. Many small things are affecting our community and more people are asking for help. Twenty two percent of people in Burwood are living below the poverty line. Consider Primary school packs ? Ask schools what they need,

Rotary ideas will already fill next years agenda. Breakfast clubs at schools. Models in place we could support. Grow the support for youth and local families. Host people from elsewhere. Support Fifi's Diabetes Alive
