We still have many fellows away on holidays and absent due to illness. We had a brief Zoom Board meeting this week to approve our outstanding matters.
Remember to consider attending this year's District Conference. It is only a one day conference and being held at Brighton Le Sands. DG Renga told me that he chose to hold the Conference in Sydney and only for one day to keep the costs down for attendees. ( https://www.rotarydistrict9675.org/ )

The School Of St Jude
The School of St Jude Limited, known as The School of St Jude (Australia) represents the Australian support base for The School of St Jude in Tanzania. Established by Gemma Sisia in 1999, The School of St Jude (Australia) (then called the East African Fund) was founded so that The School of St Jude would have a solid legal foundation in Australia to support the work in Tanzania.
We viewed a video of the recent graduating class highlighting how the school has grown since its inception. There were special messages from some of the graduating students.

Youth of Tomorrow Event
Dear Peter,
Hope you are well.
Our event was held at Ken Rosewall Arena and after going through our post evaluation process and receiving feedback from everyone, once again the Schools Future Fit Program was a resounding success.
As always we could have never achieved this without your Rotary Club’s support and once again I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Please see below feedback from Trevor Oneill (Assistant Principal at Burwood Public School), about the program.
“With our students attending the Schools Future Fit Program, there were a lot of positive changes and I saw an absolute improvement in self-confidence with several children, particularly some of the girls who normally kind of hold back with putting themselves out there and participating in activities and it was really good to see some of those girls feeling a lot more confident and having a go and having lots of fun. The goal setting activities in the mental well-being workshop were really good, the presenters were great in terms of providing a bit of reference to the kids and building a nice connection about their own achievements, allowing the kids to understand that they can aim high as well. The Schools Future Fit Program has been a lot more beneficial than I imagined it would be in terms of students developing self-confidence, the connections they are making with each other outside of the school and we really appreciated the invitation to come along and attend the program for the first time”.
Furthermore, please find attached photos from the event so you can see how much of a positive impact we had on the kids.
Hopefully next year we can receive your support again and I will touch base with you before next year’s event

Take care and will keep in touch.
Kind regards,
Umit Oraloglu

Coolangatta is the venue for the 2025 Rotary Pacific Zone Conference, taking place from 30 October to 2 November 2025. We are encouraging all Rotarians and Rotaractors to come together. All are welcome. You will be inspired and motivated as we connect and share ideas to grow Rotary and activate the strategic priorities of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Our 2025 event will be held at the Twin Towns Conference Centre. There are plenty of things you can do in this famous part of Australia and its hinterland before or after the conference.
Please remember to send your apologies to Past President Sergeant Keith if you are unable to attend a club meeting. Email: Keith.Weeding@gmail.com
