Inner West Early Bird Cafe
Well we have started, only serving one of Burwood’s sleep rough community. However, we had a good rollup of Rotarians and friends in support. There were also a number of interested passers by. We had great support from Westfield Burwood Bakers Delight, where Lucia (the owner) is the most lovely women, who could not have been more helpful in supplying all our bead need and more. We now have a regular pick up of bread arrangement with Lucia each Tuesday evening.
There are a few improvements we need to make for next Friday, however all of us who were there on Friday morning were excited to have made a start on this important community project for Burwood.
If you are in Burwood and its surrounding areas and see people who are doing it a little tough, and might enjoy a hot breakfast on a Friday morning, let them know about the Inner West Early Bird Cafe, who are located in Rotunda in Burwood Park from 7-9.00am.
